In a collaboration, students from our Firefighting program taught fire safety to the young children in the daycare center while the children were being supervised by the students in the Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher program.

Thank you to Riddleberger Brothers. INC and Blauch Brothers, INC for coming in to meet our HVAC Technician students and discussing job opportunities with them. Both of these companies have been consistent supporters of the program.

On October 2nd, Lieutenant Zach Morgan with the Martinsburg Fire Department visited the Firefighting junior class. They are currently studying fire behavior. Lt. Thank you to L&L Crane Services of Hedgesville for donating their services. They set up shipping containers in the field next to the school. The Welding class will be converting this stack of containers into an expanded classroom structure that the Firefighting class will use for fire training.

Blauch Brothers, Inc. donated a new R-454B split system to the HVAC Techncian program. This equipment will be used to train students to work on this specific type of refrigerant system. Jefferson County Emergency Services Agency donated a hose prop to our Firefighting program. This prop is mobile and adjustable. It will be used to teach students how load and deploy different sizes and configurations of fire hose. It can be used right inside the classroom and adjusted to any height needed.
