Architecture & Construction – WVEIS#AR1820
Skilled Hands Can Build Anything.
Carpentry skills are some of the most useful skills you can have. You can use them to make a good living or to improve your own home. Use them to start a woodworking hobby. However you apply these skills, you will always be impressed with what you are capable of making.
How would you like to start your own business right after high school? When you turn 18 and have completed this program, you will be able to take the West Virginia Contractors License Exam. You can be your own boss while your friends are still working in fast food.
College is expensive. No matter what your major is, working in the construction trade is a great way to pay for it. You can find work anywhere, and make more during the summer than most college students make in a year.

Our Happy Students
I am glad that I took this class because it prepares you for the future and gives you a skill that you can use in the real world. If you don’t decide to go full time with this skill, you can always come back and use to earn a little side money. Also, the teacher was a big factor since we both like to hunt and fish in our spare time.
Applications for our high school programs are only open for a short term, usually from September through December. Please talk to your guidance counselor about the possibility of applying if the application period has already closed.
