Firefighting Students Getting Real World Experience

Seniors in the Firefighting program are required to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during their last weeks of high school. As Junior Firefighters, they participate in all station duties and training, as well as responding to emergency incidents.

Firefighting Program Receives Donation from Jefferson County Emergency Services Agency

Jefferson County Emergency Services Agency donated a hose prop to our Firefighting program. This prop is mobile and adjustable. It will be used to teach students how load and deploy different sizes and configurations of fire hose. It can be used right inside the classroom and adjusted to any height needed.

JRTI students traveled to Fairmont to participate in the WV State SkillsUSA Conference. They competed is several events related to leadership and trade skills related to their programs.
