Procedure 3006: Policy Document Management Procedure

A manual will be maintained that contains all the school’s policies, plans, procedures, and systems. Policy documents will also be made publicly available on the school website.

Document Identification

When a new document is created, an identification number will be assigned to it using the following schema: “ABCC.D”

1.     “A” represents the document’s category.

2.     “B” represents the document’s subcategory.

3.     “CC” represents the document’s specific identification.

4.     “.D” a digit to the right of the decimal point represents a subsection or addendum to the document.

  • 1000: Policies
  • 1001: Academic
  • 1101: Attendance
  • 1201: General
  • 1301: School Safety
  • 1401: Financial
  • 1501: Student Services
  • 2000: Plans
  • 3000: Procedures
  • 4000: Systems

Document Review Process

  1. Every document will be reviewed by the Tech Centers That Work (TCTW) committee with at least one school administrator present.
  2. The committee and administrator(s) will determine a review schedule for each document.
  3. Each school year, the documents that are up for review will be identified and included in the committee agendas.
  4. The highest ranking administrator present during the review will be identified by their initials as the one who approved the document.
