When I Grow Up Book Series

Each children’s book is based on a career cluster, along with a companion document featuring lesson and activity ideas designed for use in preschool and kindergarten classrooms. These materials are intended to help introduce young children to various careers and relate those careers to programs offered at JRTI in an engaging, age-appropriate way.

These digital books are free to download.

  • The PDF versions may require Acrobat Reader to open.
  • The EPUB versions are compatible with ebook reader apps like Apple Books or Kindle. They have some animation and interactivity.

These books and lesson plans were written by students in the Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher program. Illustration and production was done by students in the Multimedia Publishing program.
